Expert Assessment
The bi-material challenge — box calf and toile canvas react differently to treatments. The Sellier rigid construction required extra precision. Re-dyeing achieved a uniform tone across both materials while preserving the toile texture.

Frequently asked questions

Restoration & repair

Restoration and repair atelier for luxury leather goods in Paris — Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and every other luxury house.

Which houses and which pieces do you restore?
All luxury leather goods, from all the great houses: Hermès (Kelly, Birkin, Constance, Bolide, Haut à Courroies…), Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Goyard, Celine, Loewe, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Prada, Fendi and others. Handbags, small leather goods, wallets, belts, straps and accessories, in calfskin as in exotic skins. Watches are referred to our partner watchmakers.
What can be restored on a bag?
Almost everything — each intervention is designed bespoke for your piece. A few examples: the leather (cleansing, conditioning, protection), the colour (repigmentation faithful to the original shade, or a new shade), corners and edges, handles and straps (reshaping, repair or replacement), the hardware (polishing, revival or replacement of fittings), the interior (lining, odours, pockets), closures, stitching, reshaping of the body of the bag, through to personalisation. If your need is not in this list, describe it to us: we study every request.
How do I get an assessment?
Send us a few photographs of the piece — front, back, base, corners, handles, interior — via WhatsApp or the form. Our artisans establish what can and should be done, and we come back to you with a detailed assessment. Every quotation is prepared on request, piece by piece.
Where do I drop off my piece?
At our showroom at BHV Marais, 52 rue de Rivoli in Paris, or by insured collection anywhere in Europe. Your piece is insured and kept in secure conditions from collection to return.
Does restoration affect the authenticity or value of my piece?
A restoration that respects the original materials preserves authenticity — blind stamp, stitching and original hardware are never touched — and improves the condition grade, hence the resale value. We decline any intervention that would denature the piece, and we advise our consignors on which restorations pay for themselves before a sale.
What are the lead times?
They depend on the work involved and are stated with the assessment, before any commitment. They are significantly shorter than those usually practised by the great houses for the restoration of their own pieces — around two weeks on average — and we keep you informed throughout.
